As the home base for the local council’s Youth Services, the centre provides a communal space for youth programs, self-development groups, mentoring and events.
Taylors Hill Youth and Community Centre is located at the Taylors Hill Recreation Reserve, home to ovals for cricket, football and soccer, and an access for all abilities playground. The state-of-the-art facility runs numerous youth programs and services, and also features a band room for hire. Community groups can book spaces to run events or meetings.
These are some of the programs currently on offer:
- Drop-in internet cafe: a drop-in internet cafe program will be offered two nights per week from 3pm to 7pm
- Hip hop group
- Teenage holiday program Ignite Production
- Skate program
- School outreach
- 6801 Outreach
- Mentoring: the Youth Mentoring Program worker will be located at Taylors Hill part of the week
