The future Plumpton Aquatic and Leisure Centre (PALC) will be constructed on Beattys Road in Fraser Rise, immediately north of the future Prep-12 school and walking distance to Westwood Walk.
Anticipated to open late 2027/early 2028, the new aquatic centre will feature:
- indoor pools
- splash play areas and water slides
- spa and sauna
- health and fitness areas including a 24-hour gym
- allied health spaces
- an outdoor interactive water play area with beach-style access
- change facilities
- a café
Council is also investigating whether a meeting/function space and a rooftop deck can be included through an additional level in the centre.
With a focus on wellbeing, accessibility and inclusion, the centre will also feature Australia’s first water sensory area. It will be a destination for physical activity, participation, community connectivity and fun.
Currently the development is sitting at Stage 1, the design stage. Stage 2 includes detail design, with Stage 3 moving to contracts and construction.
