We’re pleased to provide residents with an update on the future Plumpton Aquatic and Leisure Centre (PALC), which will be located on Beattys Road, walking distance to Westwood Walk.

The building’s masterplan was approved at Council’s July 22 meeting. Community consultation in May provided feedback on the Centre’s design themes, the importance of individual services and facilities, and how the community see themselves using the Centre.

More than 1,000 responses were received and the additional features that were approved include:

• A multipurpose/events space and rooftop deck
• An additional second program pool for learn to swim and aqua aerobics
• Refinement of the aquatic sensory space layout
• Relocation of the gym to the ground floor and group fitness to the first floor
• Increased car parking

This is in addition to an indoor pool, splash play areas and water slides, spa, sauna, allied health spaces, an outdoor interactive water play area with beach-style access, change facilities and a café.

Construction is slated to start in late 2025 and the centre is expected to open in early 2028.
