City of Melton residents enjoyed some early Easter festivities at the Westwood Easter fete.
Dahua Australia hosted the celebrations at the Westwood estate on Saturday, April 9.
The main event of the day was the presentation of $2000 cheques as donations to the local CFA group, SES group, Lions Club, Little Athletics, and the Koala Kids charity.
The festivities included live entertainment, activities for kids including an Easter egg hunt, face painting, a petting zoo, and a variety of food trucks and eatery outlets.
An event marked the official opening of Westwood Park, a new parkland for Fraser Rise locals to enjoy, with Mayor Goran Kesic in attendance for the ribbon-cutting.
Dahua Australia senior development manager Piotr Rutkowski said the company wanted to support the City of Melton’s population growth and give back to the local community.
“We’re grateful for the support of local leaders and community members, which is why we take great pleasure in giving back to our community by donating to charitable organizations that rely on volunteers,” Mr Rutkowski said.
