On Saturday April 9th, the Westwood community came together for some Easter fete fun! Held at Westwood Park, the event marked the opening of the estate’s newest parkland.

Dahua Australia hosted the celebrations, which kicked off at 11am. The early Easter festivities ranged from face painting and a petting zoo to live entertainment and a variety of food trucks. There were plenty of activities for the kids, with two epic Easter Egg Hunts featuring throughout the day.
Approximately 700 residents from Westwood and the surrounding areas attended the event, along with several of our builder partners who came along to support us, including Sienna Homes, Metricon, SOHO Living and Nostra.
To date almost 500 families have settled within Westwood, and it was fantastic to be able to bring the community together on such a spirited and fun occasion.
We were also proud to present five $2000 cheques as donations to the local CFA group, SES group, Lions Club, Little Athletics, and the Koala Kids charity, in the day’s main event.
Dahua Australia’s senior development manager, Piotr Rutkowski, said the company wanted to contribute to the local community.
“We’re grateful for the support of local leaders and community members, which is why we take great pleasure in giving back to our community by donating to charitable organisations that rely on volunteers,” Mr Rutkowski said.
The Easter fete was the first major event for Westwood Park and it marked its official opening, with Mayor Goran Kesic in attendance for the ribbon-cutting. As one of the central green features along The Walk, the park boasts an array of play equipment in its expansive playground, including a custom play mound, basketball & netball court and a BBQ area. Surrounding the playground is a vast green kick-about area, landscaped with canopy trees and native fauna, perfect to sit back and enjoy the outdoors.
We look forward to hosting more community events at Westwood Park in future!
